I'm probably typing the same time as Bjorklund. We'll see who says it first. This is a standout, fabulous photograph. The ducks are in a perfect position. Very elegant composition. Worthy of publication and contest entry.

I beat him. Must be having breakfast.

Like notes on a page of music. I like your use of the emptiness at the top of the image to serve both as a balance with the bottom grasses and duck but also to bring a different feel to the picture than if one were to crop from the top edge to near the top edge of the grasses. And I was out walking the streets of downtown Winnipeg trying to get some shots in the rain.

Wow! You came, you saw, you clicked.

The soft color complements the peaceful image.

Wow. Very nice, so peaceful. I like it with the black background because it draws the ducks out.

Very nice Linda. The sense of space and light are quite appealing. The ducks we need to envy. 8-)

Bravo from me on all the positives. Simple and yet pleasing surroundings (good illustration that less is more), birds and their wakes are well separated, and are nicely placed in the frame with generous space at RHS. I'd be proud of this one.

simple yet very pleasing photo.

I prefer it with a couple of inches cropped off the top, but that's just me ...

Linda

Linda, I just had to analyze this photo to try and understand its beauty.

This seems like a perfect photograph.
- soft, blended colours match the quiet, gentle mood
- the blends of blue to almost white are exquisite
- the interplay of vertical and horizontal lines seems so balanced: the reeds, the ripples, the wake, the necks
- the contrast of stillness and the motion of the ducks
- the colour contrast of silhouette and the blue
- the sense of a moment in time, frozen yet dynamic

Congratulations again on a beautiful piece of work.

Daniel
