?Portage? Lake

During rest stop on bus from Seward to Anchorage. Yeah, it was chilly out there.

A nice scene, especially the central area of mountains and reflections. I would've
skipped the sidewalks and building in the background.

I like the reflective nature of the water in picking up the distant mountains and clouds. I get the sense of the sidewalks being included to lead the eyes of the viewer through the image but I find myself agreeing with Jeff that the reflective water and distant mountains is more than enough for this Alaskan image.

When? For a cruise?

Paul - yep, Inside Passage cruise, then to Denali via bus, back via railroad to Anchorage.

Jeff, I was hemming and hawing about that. It's a composite of about 8 frames, and the sidewalk is rather distorted as a result. Maybe I should try the merge with perspective control, too.

Jan, as always, thanks for the comments. I get no mail from PC any more. :(

Pretty cool. Beautiful, especially the center.

A friend of mine was just up there on a cruise - had a wonderful time.
Looks like you did too.
