Great capture with the sense of the group of cormorants having a good chuckle about something. A picture that cries out for a good caption.

Great timing on this scene. The sharpness, bill color, and composition make up quite a bit for the hard light.

"OMG! The first seagull stole Marvin's fish and the second whitewashed his head!"

Nice capture, Dennis. Indeed, it looks like they're watching a comedy somewhere off to the right. Did you use your new lens on this? Looks sharper.

Looks like a couple of them aren't amused. Are you such it's not a choir? Good timing
and composition.

Hey, Nathan, you never saw seagulls trying to take a cormorant's fish? You haven't lived!

Thanks everyone for commenting. I always learn from you folks...the good, the bad and
the ugly!
I did not use the 'new' 150-600 lens but rather a 55-210. I am working with the new lens
trying to learn to sharpen up the images. One of the changes that I am making is to speed
up the shutter to a minimum of 1/500. The last series was at 1/400th and that may be
one of the contributing factors to my sharpness issues.
As far as the behavior of this crew, I found this online "...If one cormorant encroaches on
the space of another, such as in competition over a nest site, the cormorants will face off,
stretch their necks, and open their mouths wide open to show off the blue color inside
while shaking their heads and hissing at each other." What I call a laugh is really a hiss!
