There is something quite intriguing about this image. I thought at first it was simply a human arm with several bands around the arm but on opening the thumbnail I realized it was a tree branch banded by the shadows cast by another tree. Just so human like in nature with an arm seemingly reaching across in front of the woods. A strong textural feel that allows this viewer to overcome that human like sense and seeing the tree branch.

I am enjoying this much more in the small size I first saw on my phone
than in this full size, I think because its strength is in the overall
form and tone rather than in the details. This photo is similar to the
prior viney one in that both feature obstruction. The soft background
glow is very pleasing, and of course the light/dark bands on the barrier
branch brings in a sense of disconnect that is also pleasing.
