Lambs

After viewing the Brenda’s Sheep series by Ernest Cadegan, I remember about some sheep snapshots I took a few years ago.

Thanks for viewing.

The shot was taken near my grandfather’s old ruined house.

I like the nose to nose pose in the opening picture and the unusual feel of the second image... the sheep on right have the sense of being a mirrored reflection with the lambs on the right looking in the direction of the mirror.
Thank you for sharing Anna.

I've always wished that I could have photographed some sheep while we had them on our so-called hobby farm back in the 1970s and 1980s before the farm was outlawed but I always found the sheep we had were truly camera shy and if one produced a camera the sheep ran and hid... not the case with the cows, goats, geese and chickens.

Thank you Jan for viewing and commenting. I never thought about the animal behavior before your comment. I get it now that all the sheep, I’d ever captured, were truly camera shy. They ran after I’d taken a shot. The horses, in contrast to the sheep, were curious. For instance

These all have heart. Nice comps. Love the second where the two lambs are in this precarious spot while appearing to be admiring a wall photo of their family.

Another muzzle nuzzle!

Adorable OP! And the first in the comments is pretty sweet too --
looks as though the older sheep are worried and scolding the lambs
for wandering too close to the hole. Nice capture.
