I like the range of wing positions you were able to capture with the low flying birds and how even at this distance that they seem (or rather feel as if they are) alert.

I wonder if even as a group if these birds hunt individually or is the hunt a group exercise?

This is the Semi-palmated Sandpiper. You will of course see individual
birds but mostly groupings. With their dark tops and light bellies they put
on quite a show when flying about. They feed on a small intertidal
crustacean and double their weight before beginning their southern
migration. They used to visit the Bay of Fundy in rather large numbers (I
think I read once 1.8 million) but its seems perhaps that those numbers
have decreased but I am not certain of that.
