It Was a Very Good Year

Canon G7X

" It was a very good year for city girls
Who lived up the stair
With all that perfumed hair
And it came undone
When I was twenty-one "

I like the graphic nature of your composition especially with the image set against a black background.

Yeah 1969 was a good year for me too being in university but 1970 was even better since I graduated from university and got on with the rest of my life.

Oh that Sinatra could sing that song. I was in school then, too. Lotta unrest on campuses in '69. Did you take this in '69? Silly question I guess, inasmuch as your camera was not available then! Time traveler you are.

Nice work. I bet it would have been interesting watching them paint it.

It was a very good year. First/second year of university.

The last line of that song is "It was a mess of good years."? I had to look up the lyrics
since I'm very bad at remembering them. Didn't remember that one.

That might be another song, Linda.....The ending of the song
I was referring to goes.....

" And now I think of my life as vintage wine
From fine old keggs
from the brim to the dreggs
It poured sweet and clear
It was a very good year "
