Comments by Jeff Dye on Sun, 07/24/16 23:44 Hard to say without being there but I think a short walk to the right, left, or forward might have produced a more interesting composition. Just a personal thing but an overly large patch of plain old dirt is a big distraction. It's space better occupied by something more interesting (patterns, texture, etc). I think the distant red rock could be better if most of it wasn't being visually blocked. Try a pano crop to get rid of most of the bare dirt and see what you think. The old junipers have great tree character.
