Now this image would be a great candidate for a landscape painting of Dead Horse Point... the colors, the texturing and the lighting.

Another outstanding image. Did you use any ND filters or any other
filters on your camera Paul ?

Thanks everyone. I don't remember if a filter was used for this, but if
I had to guess, I'd say it was a ND grad - most likely the .9.

Hard to say without being there but I think a short walk to the right, left, or forward might
have produced a more interesting composition. Just a personal thing but an overly
large patch of plain old dirt is a big distraction. It's space better occupied by something
more interesting (patterns, texture, etc). I think the distant red rock could be better if
most of it wasn't being visually blocked. Try a pano crop to get rid of most of the bare
dirt and see what you think. The old junipers have great tree character.
