And the darkest color

I'm having difficulty adjusting to November being so full of flowers.

I'm having difficult adjusting to November being so devoid of flowers... I would rather have your difficulty to be experiencing such beautiful flowers.

I hope you don't mind but I'm going to pick or rather pick on your flowers. With few
exceptions flowers can be described as 'pretty', however, I've seen many flowers on this
site that can be described as pretty and that's where it usually ends because the eye
behind the camera didn't try to see beyond the obvious. It's very easy for photogs to get
so wrapped up in prettiness that no attention is paid to other elements, especially
distractions like the white spots in #3. The center area in #1 would work without the
surrounding area and would be a step beyond obvious. #2 would be even better. Good
background in #2 but give the edges of a single flower some space from the frame
boundary. Sounds like you live in a true winter area so go back before they're gone for
the season.

Yeah, there's potential here. Saturation and exposure are tough,
especially when working in red. You've got some good blossoms though,
and Jeff's got some good ideas. The middle one looks best to me.
