Pines & Stone

Kolob area of Zion NP with a long tele. The 'V' shaped area is further back than
the front cliff. Would be interesting to see what may be hidden from view in
the hanging valley but not being one to dangle from a rope I'll have to be
satisfied with a roadside view. Thanks for commenting.

The colors, the sense of texturing from the rock face and just the precarious nature of the landscape work hand in hand to make for an appealing image for me. One if left to wonder about the forces of nature that served to create the hanging valley and adjacent rugged landscape.

This time of the year I think about the trips I used to take through areas such as this in my traveling years and it is probably a view I would have stopped at and wondered about the same thing of what was hidden in the hanging valley.

Beautiful, Jeff! Amazing how almost every ledge has a tree on it.
