Great detailing, as always from head through wings to those giant talons. A sense of freedom was my first thought with the bald eagle in flight. I especially like the perspective with the direct view under the left wing of the bald eagle and the detailing and the color to be found there.

Great shot William. A little more sky beneath the eagle would help a
bit.

Outstanding. I just spent 30 min. photographing a hawk at the top of a pine tree waiting
for it to take off. Must have sensed a lapse in my concentration and I missed it.

Years ago, I tried to get a shot of a bald eagle in the open area
behind our house. As I was stalking the eagle, every time I would get
w/i ~ 100 ft, the bird would fly away and land in another tree ~ 200 ft
west of me.
