Easy Does It

I'm getting a little better at anticipating their moves. I thought they were gone
for the season until I saw their nest a few trees west of this snag. Fun shooting.

Wow, getting the feather colors there had to be tough. Nice frame, really flat background that helps in this case. Good by me.

Red Tailed Hawks. I have one photo with the tail fanned out and backlit. The nest is
about 75í up and s few trees east. Behind branches and hard to see much less
photograph. Tried a few shots with one of the Hawks sitting on the edge of the nest.
Mostly obscured. Didnít work compositionally.

Yeah, we have a bunch of these around, but they all live way, way up in the top of huge cedar trees. Not much photo to be had there. :) Just green trees and a hint of bird.
