Quidi Vidi Harbour

iPhone 6S, f/2/2, 1/1166, ISO-25 date Jan 1st, 2018 New Years morning. Very Cold and Windy that morning.

This is Quidi Vidi Harbour in St. John's NL. This family has a cozy little wind protected spot just minutes away from the Atlantic Ocean. They certainly don't
have to travel very far to go for a fresh catch. The fish can go direct from the ocean right into the frying pan.

Nice spot. Do the families actually live there all year long or just during the warmer months? ;-)

All the corners are clean except intruders lower left. Other than that it looks good and a
fun place to camera explore depending on the weather.

I grew up in a town along the Pacific with our front lawn stretching right down to the beach and the sea but not quite this close. I watch the NTV news out of Newfoundland nearly every night and places like Quidi Vidi Harbour have become as familiar as any place in my province of Manitoba.

Fishermen are a hard bunch and they live right on the coast year round. Quidi Vidi is doted with places like this. I wish I had
brought my Nikon D7000 with me as I was lucky to find a little bit of time on our busy schedule to grab a couple of photos.
Thanks all for the nice comments.

Cool! Way life should be, as they say here in Maine. It looks like you preserved the lives
of fishermen better than we did here in Maine.
