At the top of the pass

This is cut out of a giant 2x13 (yes, 26 frame) portrait-level composite, via cropping out what I liked the most.

It's near Christchurch. If you're ever on the road to Dauvachelle or Akaroa, you'll know when you top out and see this pullout, even if it's not obscured by 44 tour buses and a partridge in a pear tree. Dauvachelle is on the leftmost lobe of the far left shoreline.

Oh, and do stop there if you're there! Bring your camera.

(yes, there was somewhat of a traffic jam, human and vehicle)

I like this image with a black background which creates the illusion for me, of riding on one of those mentioned tour buses and looking the window. Wonderful range of color and a strong sense of summer time.

You say that this is a cut out part of a giant 2 x 13 composite photo consisting of 26
frames. Are you the photographer of the big one? It's a beautiful scene. Sometimes
hard to tell because of irregular lake shorelines but it looks tilted.

Yeah, I'm the person who took the 26 frames and put them all together. I pulled several photos out of it, in various shapes and sizes. Lost one corner when the autofocus caught something too near. Boo hiss.

This is the one I liked the most.

Oh, and yeah, it is very hard to tell if it's tilted. There's nothing either flat or straight in the photo except the water surface.
