Urnula craterium or Devil's Cup

I found these on a fallen branch in a bamboo grove. A tentative identification but I think it's good.

You had to have a good eye to spot these little growths... they blend in well with the scatterings from the bamboo groove. Look like little horns heralding the coming of Spring and warmer weather.

It’s fun to look for the less obvious on the ground, however, the contrast in this scene is
extremely high. The shadow and highlight side of the histogram would be climbing Ithe
walls. Short of an overcast day to soften the contrast there are diffusion discs in various
diameters and they fold up to keep in a bag. And not expensive.
