Superstition Mountain (February)

It was a cool/cold February in Arizona.

What an imposing landscape to have in one's backyard. Just trying to imagine waking up every day and being able to see Superstition Mountain, now coated with a light snow.

The contrast between the foreground buildings and foliage and that of background mountainous terrain creates the sense, for me, of a light mist that makes the mountain stand out slightly less than the foreground elements.

I would enlarge this image, frame it and hang it to remind me of the trip to Arizona.

There’s some interesting lore about that mountain and how it got it’s name. Legend
talks about a fortune in gold (? ) back in there somewhere. Many have tried and failed
to find it. Beautiful photo. Snow is probably rare. Didn’t know there was a resort at the
base unless they’re homes to a lot of money.

Great contrasts between the mountain, rough and uneven, and the
buildings, smooth and squarish.
