Great capture Steve with the reflection of the goose serving as a counter balance to the actual goose landing (with one of its webbed feet visible it is almost as if the goose is skidding to a stop). The contrast between the goose and the bluish hue of the water serves to make the goose visually "pop" in the picture.

If I had to pick first prize among your bird photos this would be the one. There’s usually
a flaw, even a small one in the majority of photos, but not here.

Thanks Jan, the shadowing is all natural, with scattered clouds
helping. A little cropping on the left to put the bird in rule of
thirds. I bumped up the blue tones in ACR, where specific color tones
may be adjusted.
Thanks a lot Jeff, I always appreciate your CCs. The fact you find no
flaws here makes this a rare bird indeed.
Thanks Jeff and Jan.

The image and timing is perfect...with processing to match.
