On Friday night (June 7) I was trying to take pictures of lightning as a thunderstorm passed through the Winnipeg area causing some damage to the north of the city related to downed power poles and in one case a train blown off the tracks.

No luck capturing the lightning but I found these first three images of the clouds from the storm quite striking caught over the downtown skyline.

These are striking clouds Jan, I like the OP with multi-level cloud
formations.

THe clouds alone in the first few posts are interesting enough to
stand alone..... The b&w , however takes first prize.... That's an
image I would like on my wall.

This was an evening shot I got of a cloud formation over the Museum for Human Rights on Monday night with the last light highlighting the tops of the clouds.
