Your image captures, for me, the sense of the orchid flower as an exotic creature rather than simply a beautiful blossom. The diagonal placement of the orchid creates the illusion of a hand (perhaps rather a paw) reaching out towards the viewer. Clarity of detailing, the color and the contrast between the blossom and the surrounding area creating the illusion of movement adds to the visual impact of the picture.

512? You really shot that many orchids? This one is very nice but I
might like even more attention to that wonky tendril on the left.

will just add that you have taken some wonderful Orchid images !!
