I had thought initially of the limpet from the Incredible Mr. Limpet with Don Knotts and then a mudskipper and finally a celestial gold fish. And it started with a cropped piece of a shot showing an early morning view of a passing CN train and the headlights from vehicles on the surrounding roadways.

Usually I use the entire image to create an abstract but that was not the case with this image. The original image with a portion cropped to create this abstract.

I like the confusion of stanchions best.

Interesting effects. But I really like the stanchion the best as well.;-)

Paul's and Sandi's comments makes me wish that I would have saved the original of the stanchion composition as is the case with nearly all of the abstract images that I've created.

Ice Castles will be built on Parks Canada land at The Forks just south of the Esplanade Riel bridge adjacent to the Red River.

Artists will spend several weeks crafting the structures, harvesting tens of thousands of icicles before shaping the ice formations into works of art. Some will spiral up to 40 feet high, while being backlit by colourful LEDs and set to a musical soundtrack at night.

Construction on the acre-sized site is already underway. The castles are expected to open in late December.

You're having too much fun. That last one is especially intriguing
and seems like it could be used somehow as a layer to further
manipulate a copy of the original image. Hmm...

:-) Love them all Jan, perhaps with a bit of partiality to "Confusion of Stanchions"!
