In the art gallery

My wife dozed off as I browsed the pictures at an exhibition in a country town. I took the opportunity to take this. Got an earful afterwards!

I've always wanted to shoot in an art gallery but I just don't want to produce a picture of picture and I like what you have done here to bring the pictures on the wall into play in the image while adding your own intrepretation of the interior of the art gallery.

Not many places more peaceful than an art gallery!

Couple thoughts for you to consider:
a. The first piece of art of the left is cropped.
b. The light at the top right is distracting
c. You may have had a better angle if you had been lower. This is a common photographer mistake by standing and looking down at the subject. It dramatically reduces the sense of space. Often the photographer will not have used a wide angle lens that is wide enough to fit the space and the result is a crowded image.

I think there are some wonderful opportunities in the art gallery.

Well seen, but agree with Robert B.

i would make two changes: crop down from the top by 25% and crop from the right just before her head. these areas really do not add much to the overall strength of the content.

One suggested recomposition.
