Agree with Ruth in general. The result might be stronger, though, if the upturned fg petals were against the green rather than the purple bg to increase the contrast and their impact.

The colors of green and mauve really work well to capture the sense of Spring for me, especially when one sets the image against a black background. The slight blurring works to evoke a dreamlike quality for me... about the only thing one can do in my area of the world right now is dream... hey maybe we'll get to 0C on the weekend... not warm enough for crocus but warm enough to dream.
