Butterfly I
Comments by Rick Longworth on Sun, 06/03/07 02:25 Beautiful. I like the extra space allowed below the creature. Comments by Ernest Cadegan on Sun, 06/03/07 07:25 Beautiful design. Comments by Dave Lavash on Sun, 06/03/07 08:06 This is very well done. Comments by Jan Bjorklund on Sun, 06/03/07 08:16 I like the contrast between that of the butterfly and the muted background which works to make the little flying creature stand out strongly in the image, the detailing on the wings of the butterfly, and the actual color and patterning on the wings. So delicate that one would think that the slightest breeze would shred the wings of the butterfly. Comments by Ruth Rittichier on Sun, 06/03/07 13:18 Beautifully captured with attractive soft BG, and could use a crop from the bottom. Comments by Roger on Sun, 06/03/07 13:44 Beautiful B-Fly, I agree about the crop on the bottom to much blank area. Comments by DebbiK on Sun, 06/03/07 14:06 I was trying to give the feeling that the butterfly was just hanging on with a long drop beneath, but I was ambivalent about the crop from the start. Here it is cropped as suggeseted.
Comments by DebbiK on Sun, 06/03/07 14:07 I did not want to center the insect, either. I am open to cropping examples. Comments by Roger on Sun, 06/03/07 14:17 I feel that is much better, I also agree not to center. Comments by Peter Serbe on Sun, 06/03/07 15:43 Dear Debbi,
Comments by Maria Salvador on Mon, 06/04/07 12:39 Loved the original post. Beautiful all around. Comments by Garry Schaefer on Mon, 06/04/07 14:10 Super take on the butterfly. After seeing both I think I'd go with the original given the very fine nature of the bg. Comments by DebbiK on Mon, 06/04/07 14:26 I think that the space below the butterfly could come up a little; however, I think it looks better as is on a larger monitor where you don't have to scroll down to see the entire image. If you have to scroll to see the entire image, then it loses its impact. I should not have posted it with the length longer than 600 pixels so that all monitors could accomodate the image without the need to scroll. As is, it is 800 pixels long. I appreciate everybody's helpful comments. Debbi Comments by Christie on Mon, 06/04/07 23:33 Pretty colors all working to highlight the beauty in the butterfly. Comments by Julie M. Dant on Tue, 06/05/07 11:22 Debbi, I love the OP and the placement of the butterfly. Daring and different. |
