In the long light

The dead limb is annoying, yeah. But it's part of the whole scene.

There are about 8 people down on the beach. :)

It is very beautiful. I might have been tempted to crop the limbs on the left.

Steve, you're absolutely right, duh.

See attached.

Wow, this is amazing!! I LOVE the light and the whole scene. I do believe the cropping has improved it, even though I didn't see that it could be. This is beautiful if every way. It looks like an old world painting, only brighter. Wonderful! Bravo!

You caught the light at just the right moment as it highlights the beachscape. I like your use of the trees to serve as a framing for the beach (where is Ruby Beach?), the lighting as mentioned but I think that your cropping has heightened the sense of the horizon being tilted to the right.

Is this the 6X7 Pentax? Good work!

Michael, it's actually cropped from a D200 shot with the 28-80 standard Nikor D lens.

I don't take the 6x7 out much any more, I have no place to get anything developed any more :(

I like how the vegetation in the foreground adds a sense of contrast and serves as a frame.
