In the long light
Comments by Steve Owen on Mon, 09/10/07 23:48 It is very beautiful. I might have been tempted to crop the limbs on the left. Comments by jj on Mon, 09/10/07 23:56 Steve, you're absolutely right, duh.
Comments by Julie M. Dant on Tue, 09/11/07 01:04 Wow, this is amazing!! I LOVE the light and the whole scene. I do believe the cropping has improved it, even though I didn't see that it could be. This is beautiful if every way. It looks like an old world painting, only brighter. Wonderful! Bravo! Comments by Jan Bjorklund on Tue, 09/11/07 08:23 You caught the light at just the right moment as it highlights the beachscape. I like your use of the trees to serve as a framing for the beach (where is Ruby Beach?), the lighting as mentioned but I think that your cropping has heightened the sense of the horizon being tilted to the right. Comments by Michael Hibbitts on Tue, 09/11/07 08:29 Is this the 6X7 Pentax? Good work! Comments by jj on Tue, 09/11/07 17:11 Michael, it's actually cropped from a D200 shot with the 28-80 standard Nikor D lens.
Comments by Serge Smirnov on Wed, 11/21/07 23:50 I like how the vegetation in the foreground adds a sense of contrast and serves as a frame. |
