Early Autumn

The leaves on the trees were just starting to turn and the sun in the top branches just glowed above the still green leaves below.

One can almost imagine themselves kneeling at the bottom of these large trees shooting upwards towards the golden toning to be found in the foliage at the crown of the trees. I like that perspective with the sense of flow created by the tree trunks leading the eyes of the viewer upward to the golden hue and the complementary nature of the coloring of the darkened tree trunks and the golden leaves.

This is really nice, Pam. The tree trunks are branch-free for such a long distance, then they burst into golden leaves.

Lovely golden fan against the blue sky without anything in the way. -- Its a cliched shot but effective nonetheless for the trees selected and the way you framed the gold with the red and green without them getting in the way

Ditto to Linda's comment. My preferred of this series.

I like the perspective and the way you pulled it off with such vibrant colors.

Nice photo with strong lines and colours. The trunk on the rhs could have been made less "heavy" with a slightly different compositon.

Very nice - I like the way the treetrunks lead into the centre of the image and the branches seem to burst out from there.
