African Greeting

Working in rural Africa took me through a village twice each day. Whether in a vehicle, as in this case or on foot, the children were always quick to respond with gleeful greetings.

Brings back memories of my time in southern Sudan in 1999. The kids were always happy to see me, a white foreigner.

Wonderful capture with the happy expressive faces of the children shining through in the image. I like how you were able to capture the picture of the children with each one having their own space in the photograph.

That's so precious. These children are so uninhibited - a joy to see.

A happy image, well caught and presented. Situations can be so utterly different, from the best to the worst, but children will be children. As long as they are healthy enough, that is. It is one of the most (perhaps the most) reassuring truths in the World today.

Those sweeties made me smile as if they were waving directly to me, Barry. Lovely, photo and yes, happy.

Thanks all for your comments - speaking of happy, one little guy I got to see each day was named Happy, and happy he was.

Charming image. I am another one who is reminded of various African scenes like this that I have seen!

They are really pleased to see you and I suspect, delighted to have their photograph taken.
