I tried your image in the various shades of b&w allowed for in CS3 and when the image is lightened the highlighted rocky strand becomes like a walkway for the eyes of the viewer leading them to the shadowy bushes and bluffs along the stream. May be in the land down under of New Zealand but the setting puts me in mind of a coastal stream in British Columbia.

I like the dark monolithic walls that guide the stream. The scene has the look of ages with not a sign of man. To add to the primeval look, there on the near right is an impact crater. Well, probably oot. Maybe someone, Rosina for example, dug a place to sit back under the sun after casting a line into that lovely fishing hole.
