These flowers grow in the rocks if conditions are right. Some people have been known to take a crowbar and lift the rocks up to steal the flower.A nice hike jumping the rocks to the middle of the river which was at a low level.

I like the layering of whites, greys and blacks... with the white of the Spider Lily really standing out strongly in the image. I find myself tempted to crop down slightly from the top edge of the image to heighten the prominence of the white flowers in the picture.

I was thinking the same thing as Bjorklund. The flowers look great in B&W. They really glow but the scene falls flat in the far background. I'd eliminate (crop) the trees in the background and keep attention in the front.

That is a gorgeous flower. I see the amaryllis family resemblance. More in the leaves and stalk than in the flower.
