Interesting to photograph but probably worth a back ache to keep shoveling the snow from one's vehicles. I think that there are going to be a lot of people in the Pacific Northwest and the Lower Mainland of B.C. that are going to be saying in the future when someone talks about a winter snow: "I remember when the snow was up to my waist and I had to walk to school in the snow... uphill both ways... that was snow."

It's OK if your only reason for photographing this was to show a bunch of snow. The reaction from those that live in snow country is probably 'so what' because this is an everyday scene that's probably getting monotonous this winter. Even from someone from Los Angeles county (me) it's still 'so what'. Look around. Something less documentary is there somewhere.

Serge,
I would advise to use HDR technique in such case: to big difference in the light of snow and other objects. As a result you should see the snow structure, not just white spots.
