Strawberry Splash

I'm not sure whether this photo looks better with or without the falling strawberry. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you

The same shot without the falling strawberry.

For me the OP adds something different to an otherwise often seen sort of shot, though techinically difficult.

A shot that you would look forward to clearing up afterwards, yum yum.

I would agree with Les... there is the feel of a time lapse in the opening image which is missing from the image in the comment section. The splashing strawberry in combination with the falling strawberry does give the composition a painterly feel. I also like the bordering... simple with a clean feel.

my first impression was the contradiction between the movement of the falling strawberry and the frozen in time splash. i don't think they belong together. i like the second post (with cornflakes)!

the first picture screams look, I can work with Cs4!! yiha.

the last one is cool ofcourse. nice to see that you play around with things. The frame is overkilled BIG, but dont listen to me. I am the fool of this sight.

:-)

Look forward to watch more of your portraits.

I thought the falling strawberry added some balance to the frame in the OP. I definately see what Leo was saying with the top being blurred and the bottom not. The frame doesn't bother me, but I wonder why it is there.

I wish this sight had a forum. That is the second time I have heard street junkie say something about a frame. I am curious his thoughts on when to use frames and when not to. I mean that in a completely non threating way. I am truly curious.

Its the conflict that adds IMOH.

when you think about it is correct. one has stopped due to impact ones still controlled by gravity.

Not a deal breaker to me but was this shot in camera?

I like both, but if I had to choose I might take the version without the falling strawberry...

Not sure about the OP. Dont know if i like the "moving" effect of the strawberry. I would be tempted to show it as a "still" as it would still be seen as falling into the milk.
