Victoria Day

In Canada we use Queen Victoria's birthday as an excuse to celebrate the start of summer activities. In Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, the occasion is marked with a 21 gun salute. I'm posting a picture taken a couple of years ago as my efforts this year produced only a few puffs of smoke.

Really like the eruption of smoke from the cannon... stands out strongly in the image. Makes one think of flower in blossom in Spring.

The Victoria Day week end camping didn't go that well here in Alberta. Maybe the people in the south fared better than we did here.

Good timing on catching that cannon firing!
