A vintage feel to the image evoked by the b&w format and just the nature of the individual... makes me think of images of the Second World War. Searching the sidewalk for cigarettes butts?

Thanks for the comments, greatly appreciated. The man's garb seemed to work on two levels for me. He can 'blend in' in a crowd or and stand out like he seems to do in this shot.
