I like the contrast between the prison walls and the surrounding grass in the back. Bordeau must be a hundred years old, my Mom used to threaten I'd end up there in my younger days, glad I wised up.
Great images Zorro, you and the children look like you had an amazing time.

The contrast between that of the gaol and the background greenery is quite striking. From overhead the form of the jail is much different than it would be from street level with the walls of the institution and the buildings within looming over the head of anyone walking by in the street. Reminds me of the old B.C. Pen that used to stand in New Westminster, B.C.... probably the same architect.

This is a great pespective that really emphasizes the panopticon concep of prisions - the notion that surviellence of the prisoners takes place from a central location (in the centre of the buildings). Never saw one from this vangage point before. Thanks for posting it.
