The subject was a 1930s structure that was built in marshland to detect enemy aircraft. It was a handheld shot 18-55mm lens Canon 450 EOS. F9 at 1/125.

The perspective setting the structure against the lightness of the cloudy sky really makes it stand out strongly in the image while at the same time overwhelming the viewer with its sheer form and bulk.

Very interesting subject. I like this photo very much. If it were mine I think I would have cropped a little from the top.

Was there also a view of the structure standing alone on the marsh? I'd like to see that too.
