Five Friendly Fungi

Taken with my Sigma 105mm Macro lens. These little fellows are
onlt about 1 centimetre tall. Tv 1/160; f/10.0; ISO 400. I
wish I had incresed the DOF a little more to get more of the
fungi in focus.

The mushrooms have a nice colour to them. But I would have prefer if there was more dof as well. But my real nit is the out of focus greenery in the foreground.

Thanks Sandi. I actually agree with with you about the OOF foreground,
but we are in the minority. I certainly would also like to have got all
5 fungi in focus. Thank you again for your help.

I think the DOF control brings the fungus to the foreground in a very nice way. It's often a non-ideal tradeoff between the foreground in focus and the background also in focus, or the other way around.

Thanks jj. I was thinking that when I read Sandi's comment. The only way
I could have retained the blurry background and not the foreground would
be to have cut the greenery in the foreground away physically before
taking the shot.

A different angle might have avoided the foreground moss?
