A cuteness factor of at least +9... +10... with the contrast between the chickadee and the muted background helping to make the little bird stand out strongly in the image.

I find a black background color helps to enhance the detailing to be found in the image.

And not to forget... the catchlight in the eye.

These birds seem to be able to cling to anything and any which way, but I don't think I have ever seen their feet so close up. Very interesting.

It looks really good, Sandi. I was taken with his feet, too!

A nice close-up Sandi, Sharp, a catch light, and OOF background.
Well done.

Wow - a beautiful image - Very sharp, heightened by the soft OOF background. We don't have chickadees in England but if they are any thing like our sparrows they are very very quick and dont sit still for a second - you did a great job to capture it! :-)

Wow... I couldn't loose this gentleman of the air... :)
Simply: a very beautiful image!
May be you could use a lower ISO, to gain some more color range, who
knows?
What an ISO did you use for this photo?

Great bird photography Sandi - I wondered about your title as it didn't sound like the name of a bird, so I 'googled' it and note it's a black-capped Chickadee. As Steve said, we don't have these in the UK.
