This is near Pemberton, B.C., Canada, the view from Big Sky Golf & CC, which is snug to the foot of Mt Currie.

If walking the course and snatching a few photo's between golf shots counts, then yes, I was hiking! (And with the quality of my game, I walked a great deal further than the actual length of the course!) :-)

Without being able to stop down very far (handholding) one or the other should be in focus.
The incredible mountains deserve to be sharp and the flowers less so IMO. There's a large,
out of focus alien on the left side of the frame and the clouds blew up the highlight side of
the histogram assuming you're using digital. If you really like this I'd crop about 2/3 of the
sky and and enough from the left to get rid of the out of focus plant.

Beautiful view! I agree with Jeff about cropping the left out of focus plant and part of the bright sky. It must be really nice to play golf with a view like that...

Thanks for your suggestions ...

That's much better...

I prefer your cropped version... for one thing the interplay of sunlight and shadows on the mountain slopes suddenly becomes apparent which is not readily the case with the original posted picture.

One of the places in the coastal mountains of B.C. that I would like to get to one of these days.

I don't play golf, but I would imagine this must be one of the best golf courses in the world for views like this.
Your cropped pictures is SO much better Tanya!

I would crop the sky completely.

I like the mountains ridge, but I'm not crazy about this sky either... Might try to experiment replacing the sky for another. Sky aside, all the rest in this photo is beautiful!
