After several frosty mornings, followed by cool days, there was a good coating of frost on the garden.

The toning and the textural feel from both the leaves and the layering of frost on them captures a sense of the passing of the seasons from fall to winter... I know it's still a month to go but it sure feels more like winter than fall to me. A pleasing painterly feel to the composition.

Very nice Linda...you left the right amount of the brown tonings in it.

So pleasing to look at this picture... :)
Mr Frost takes care of them all.

Admit, you arranged this leaf for leaf, branch for branch to this wonderful display, did you?!
;-)

Looks like you took a piece of ground and pressed it in a book for a couple of day. Outstanding!!!

No sooner than we finish looking at Autumn colours, we see frosty pictures. However, I feel it needs a tweak in contrast and I have taken the liberty of doing so - just an 'S' curve in Photoshop Curves

LOvely image Linda !! personally I like your low contrast, it just blends those tones together so nice.

It is a thing of beauty, Linda! Gorgeous browns and blues.

Something must be wrong with the climate. There's frost and snow everywhere, even in
Europe, but not here in Maine. Still almost 50F this afternoon. Confusing.

A classic. A beautiful one!

My favorite frost shot of the year.
And one of my faves of yours of all time.

I see John's point, and I had a look in PS.

But even very slight changes alter the wonderful tone Sandi speaks of and therefore the "mood".

I like it best as posted.
