light stroll

we was at a state park in new york when i came across these 2 amish women, as they walked away they just caught my eye. I was aproxomatly 20 yards away, i used a canon eos digital rebel..exposure time was 1/60sec...we was at this park in the late fall, the area was muddy from rain and the waterfalls near by..i took this photo in black and white cause i wanted to keep the focus on the women and not the surrounding area

I like how you placed the two women at the bottom of the image with the walkway and the stonework fence to lead them up through the picture, the contrast in toning between the dark garb of the two women and the lightness of the pathway and stonework fence which works to make the women stand out strongly in the image, and just the nature of the subject matter.

A mood of other times...
So beautiful indeed.
An ancient path to go.

Timeless... The B&W works really well, I like it very much.
