A close-up image of a bee

This photo was taken in the front-yard flowers on 6 Aug. 2011, in NW Florida-USA. A little cropping was done to the original image, but this bee was on the large size....

Camera: Nikon D60
Lens: AF-S 55-200mm VR DX Nikkor
ISO: 400
The lens had a Pentax T-95 close up filter on it.

The contrast between both the bee and blossom and the diffused feel of the background helps to make both of these elements stand out strongly in the picture. Such an uncommon insect to see nowadays caught busy at work.
