Nice photo, and I can't really think of any improvements to it, other than maybe using a little wider aperture to create a bit more separation between the flowers and the background branches. I also would've tried a vertical composition to cut out some of that empty space at the left side of the photo, and to focus the attention more on the group of blossoms, but that's just personal.

It's pretty Dan but I would have to agree with Tracy on this though. A little closer shot of the group would be better...;-)

I would agree with the suggested cropping to give the "early arrivers" more presence in the picture. There is the sense with the lone bud on the left of the maestro leading the orchestra with the buds on the right facing towards the solitary bud on the left.
