I might have gone for even a lower perspective setting as much of the twisted form of the tree against the lightness of the cloudy sky. A sense of strength and determination evoked by the twisted tree fighting against the elements.

I liked this immediately, lone tree reaching out to the sea. A couple
suggestions. I would tighten it up a bit. The base of the tree is a
little blocked, and there are a couple bits in the clouds top left. I
think your horizon is tilted to the left a tad.

A most interesting tree,sky and foreground unite to make a eye catching image.The horizon is so slightly tilted that you need a ruler to see it.That tree could make me fill up a image card.
