Looking Down

JUst outside Jasper we had taken ATV's up a Small mountain for a lunch. And this was the look down from the ledge we were on.

I like the layering in the image from the golden hues of the foreground through to the purple tones of the distant mountains, the quality of the light (especially as the sunlight highlights individual and groups of trees in the foreground and just the majesty of the setting... sort of takes my breathe away.

A gorgeous spot for a picnic. I especially like the ridge with the bright green poplars.

Ditto linda re ridge, good colouring and layering
needs some sky to show off last ridge but
would at half amount present in imge

Think using an atv is cheating. ..@))))))

Beautiful light down there. Stands out against the darker distance. About 1/4" of sky is
plenty when it's being photographically uncooperative.
