I thought on opening the thumbnail for this picture that I was looking at a forest fire with the crows silhouetted against a raging fire... obviously it is the effects that you applied that resulted in that sense. Interesting feel to the image!

Interesting with lots of impact although not really my cup of tea.
Reminds me of something Leslie Hancock would do. And, that's a
compliment if you remember his work.

Interesting but seems harsh to me. Perhaps you could experiment with Channel Mixer,
Selective Color or Hue/Saturation.

The comp is good but the colors are very harsh for me. Try Larry's suggestion...;-)

This picture kept shouting out at me whenever I looked inside the folder containing it. Obviously, whenever something shouts at you, you must consider it. I had to open it in PS from LR in order to see what I had done to render it: three levels of gradients of different hues and different blending modes.

Anyway, crows blasting through overly overdone dramatic skies is what I got and I'm holding onto it if only because I have nothing else like it anywhere in my files! I told my wife that I had ordered a 36" print to go over the fireplace. She looked at me silently as if I had at long last met the final qualifications for medical intervention.

Thanks for looking and for your impressions.

I'm sure you will be very happy with it. It's a very good spirited
interpretation.
