Hibiscus

The previous dahlia shot and this hibiscus were taken at the Public Gardens, hand held shots, of course.;-)

Striking image of the hibiscus with the clarity of detailing and the color (the slight yellowish hue of the stamens of the hibiscus seemingly erupting out of the red at the heart of the blossom). You truly have a steady hand.

Looks familiar...
Great minds think alike!

I took a picture of this one long time ago

Wonderful, delicate image of the rose of sharon, Sandi... :)
A real masterwork.

It does kinda look like a radar antenna of some sort. Lovely colors and nice dof. I like that slight tinge of red in the lrc.

I have a hibiscus in the yard that's just barely hanging on. I'm not sure the climate is right here.

Such a clever flower to put the red attractor (kinda like lipstick) at the base of its reproductive apparatus, so that flying things can more easily find it. Vivid explanation of the birds and the bees.
