The Beckoning Tree

f4.5,exposure 1/320 sec,ISO 400 focal length 70mm, no flash.
Taken in April 2013, late afternoon in Toowoomba, Queensland
Australia. I saw what looked like an arm beckoning me towards
the tree and took the photo. Since seeing it on my computer it
looks like the tree has an eye, hair and a muscle on the arm.
I love photographing bark so hoped that this would stand out.

Interesting take on the branch with the sense of the "beckoning arm" with the contrast between the branch and the lightened nature of the background helping to enhance the sense of the "beckoning arm".

nice idea of the arm, but im not sure about the exposure, there seems to be a halo around the
branch, and the bark could de with a little more contrast, but the black and white works well

Thank you Tim for your feedback. I hadn't noticed the halo around the
arm before. I am going to have a play with it and see if I can do
something about it and the bark.
