Simplicity

In the middle of summer ...an example of simplicity in the garden.
I'm new to photography and I'd like to know how to improve my images.
Following comments on my first photo here, I tried to show a vision that could be different from a botanical essay.

I find that one can up closer here with a cropping to fill the image with just the heart of the blossom (eliminating the touches of green around the edges). I like the sense of the stamens peeking over the edge of the petals and I find myself wanting to enhance that sense of curiosity created by the perspective that you adopted for the picture. The purples and yellows work well to complement each other.

Thank you for your comment. I tried what you suggested and I like this impression that only the heart is in evidence. I didn't dare to go far enough when cropping. Here is the second version.

I attached a version of what I mean with my suggested cropping. I think you went too far with your cropping.
