I like the contrast of the sun and its rays with the cold winter (sorry spring) snow.I think it would be nice in color as well.

The sun shining on a snowy day brings a colder feel to the picture. I find the contrast between the darker vertical tree trunks and the lightness of the snow covered ground helps to lead this viewer deep into the setting.

Looks great in B&W. It might be OK in color. Funny how some dense forest scenes
really work and some don't. This one works.
