I like the scene but personally I never like those blown bits of sky. With
your camera it should be easy enough to shoot the highlights and bring
the shadows up to avoid that . I'm sure it has the dynamic range to
recover that. Alternatively I would be doing a patch job.

A strong sense of a Spring melt comes through in your picture. An image that would be interesting to see through the seasons just to see the changes as one moves from one season to another.

Interesting image. Has that PB look to it. Can't tell if you blended in only about 3/4's away down. I love the reflection in the puddle located to the upper right of that central lower stone triangle. Great image !

I like it...dark bleak landscape.;-)

That lower triangle is dirty melting snow. The pond is still pretty
well covered in ice, but clearly thawing in places. You can see that
better in this next shot, an even darker 25 second exposure of water
flowing out of the mostly ice covered pond, shot with a .9 ND grad
filter and a 10 stop ND filter...

I commented on this before, but must not have clicked on "submit"...

Anyway, wonderful OP. The 3D-feel is quite remarkable for a non-3D image -- the way that foreground tree grasps at the sky, reaching for a fistful of drama. Wonderful scene. Great light. I actually like the sky quite a lot -- perfect amount of tension.
