The camera loves her. Both very nice but the pink background undermines
the first.

I find the background colors serve to make Lizzie stand out in both images but as with Ernest I find the color of the background in the second is more pleasing to my eye (muted perhaps is the sense).

I agree with you about the pink bg. Lizzie likes the pink bg, I prefer the
2nd image.

Comments by Nathan Leonard Kern on Tue, 05/12/15 12:18

I think the 2nd one looks the best because the pink bacground is too bright.THe 2 pictures of Lizzy looks llike the original was fliped horizonly and photoshoped a bit.

Nathan take note of the elastic band on her left wrist, fingers. Wasn't
flipped. Don't see how you would think this is flipped.

Nice poses and light; prefer #2.

I don't see how S Roter could think they were not flipped!!!! look at Lizzy fliped below.

^ I think the confusion comes from the assumption that they are
the same photo/pose with a different background color, Nathan.
I'm pretty sure they are two completely separate photos/poses
which happen to have a different background color.

You have a wonderfully photogenic model there, Steve. Indeed, the
background in the 2nd is better, but I can certainly understand
that Lizzie would prefer the pink!

BTW, I meant to add: although I prefer the background in the 2nd, I
prefer the light on her in the 1st.

Number 2 is excellent. Great hands and feet/leg positions. And LOvely
work on the face and softening tones.

Lovely Lizzie, again!

The recitals are once a year, and I look forward them. Each year wondering
if this will be my last recital because she changed her mind about ballet.
Thanks for the comments.

My vote is for the second which might also work well in B&W. As for the flipping just
closely look at the folds and wrinkles in the material. It's precisely the same in both.
Makes no difference though. Beautiful girl.

I should let Steve respond, but I get frustrated by stuff like
this. I'm a little OCD. ;)

They are absolutely NOT flipped photos (comparing the OP with the
pink background versus the one in the comments with the brown
background). In the OP (with the pink background), her hand
positions are different; her rear leg is lifted higher off the
floor; her gaze is different; the position of her head-band is
different. The shoe-laces are different. Her hair is different,
etc, chin position on the shoulder is different, the folds in her
skirt are different; her fingers are closed in the OP versus open
in the comments section... Too many differences not to notice.

In Nathan's version, of course they're precisely the same -- he
took the pink photo in the OP and flipped it.

The image is not flipped. Jacky's comments reveal all the differences.
